How it works

From a competitor's listing to your own product, in 5 steps

Each run is called a sprint. It takes about 15 minutes and works with ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, free or paid.

Step 1 · ~10 sec

Analyze a bestselling listing

Start from a product that already sells. Bring its listing into ListSprint with the extension, or paste it in by hand, and ListSprint reads it like a buyer and a competitor would.

  • Works out what the product is and its format: printable, digital planner, spreadsheet or Canva template
  • Finds where it falls short: missing pages, thin content, weak spots and what reviews complain about
  • Sets the angle your product will take to beat it
The one-click way: the Chrome extension
  1. Add the free ListSprint extension to Chrome. It only works on Etsy listing pages.
  2. Open a competitor's listing, click the ListSprint icon, then "Copy All".
  3. Start a sprint in ListSprint and paste. The title, price, reviews, description and photos come in at once.

It only reads the Etsy listing page you're on, and only when you click the icon. See the Privacy Policy.

Step 2 · ~3 min, with step 3

Keywords with real Google search data

Most keyword tools guess. ListSprint pulls real monthly Google search volumes for the phrases buyers use, so you know which words are worth building your listing around.

  • Monthly Google searches for each keyword
  • Your strongest searched phrase opens the title
  • Helps you show up on Google as well as in Etsy search

meal plan printable1.3k/mo

Step 3 · ready with your keywords

Your finished listing

ListSprint writes the listing around what your product will actually contain, so the copy and the product match page for page.

  • A title that leads with your best searched phrase
  • A description that opens with what the buyer gets
  • All 13 tags, each 20 characters or fewer
  • A listing checklist so nothing gets missed when you publish
Why it matters

Google shows only the first part of an Etsy title and uses your description as the snippet under it. Tags help in Etsy search but Google ignores them, so the title and description do double duty.

Step 4 · ~10 min in your AI

Build the product with one prompt

ListSprint plans your product (the pages, how much goes on each, and what makes it better than the competitor), then gives you one prompt. Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini once and it walks you through the rest.

Pick a style
The AI suggests 3 style directions for your niche, so your product doesn't look like everyone else's.
Build the product
A print-ready PDF, a hyperlinked digital planner, a spreadsheet for Sheets or Excel, or a Canva template.
Listing images
2000 × 2000 images in the same design, with the title inside Etsy's app crop.
Video and zip
A short listing video and one zip with every image, ready to upload.

Original, not a copy. The competitor is only used to find gaps. The prompt tells the AI never to copy its wording, layout, images or style.

Step 5 · you publish

Launch, then start the next sprint

Upload your product file, images and video to Etsy, paste in the title, description and tags, and run through the listing checklist. Then pick your next bestseller and do it again. Every sprint is saved in your history.

Common questions

Do I need a paid AI plan?

No. The build prompt works in the free versions of ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Bigger products take more messages, so a paid plan helps if you hit a message limit; the prompt tells the AI to pick up where it left off when you type "continue".

Do I need the Chrome extension?

No. It just saves typing. You can paste a listing's title and description into ListSprint by hand and get the same sprint.

What kinds of products work best?

Digital products: printables, planners (including hyperlinked GoodNotes planners), spreadsheets for Google Sheets or Excel, and Canva templates. Other products, like sewing patterns, still get the research, listing and a strong head start on the product.

Is the product original?

Yes. ListSprint uses the competitor only to find what buyers want and where that listing falls short. The build prompt tells the AI never to copy its wording, layout, images or style, and to give your product its own look.

How long does a sprint take?

About 15 minutes from pasting a listing to having your product, listing images and listing copy, plus however long you spend reviewing and tweaking.
